Naked In New York

When people go to New York City, they tend to flock towards iconic landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, 30 Rock, or maybe even the corner restaurant from “Seinfeld.”  But over the years, a new Big Apple icon has climbed the ranks to join its __ predecessors in fame and popularity.  However, unlike the other tourist attractions that stand still when you take a picture of them, this one sings and plays guitar in nothing but his tighty-whities.

Who is this outlandish character?  To some, he’s simply Robert Burck.  But to the thousands that flock see him every day on the streets of New York he is…the Naked Cowboy.

An editorial team at “Media Storm,” an award-winning narrative cinema firm based out of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, was able to track down and document the elusive scantily-clad street performer and chronicled his story in a short film on their website.
